Essence of Freedom

Originally created for the TCC Junetheenth Northeast Art competition, where it earned 2nd Place, this illustration explores the interconnectedness of mind, soul, and body. My composition is meant to represent how the mind, body, and spirit are connected, creating true freedom. The dove (representing the spirit) lifts the mask (representing the body), which is being removed by a woman, revealing part of her face still partially covered by her colorful and full of movement hair flowing out of the frame, representing the mind.
